Tar Heel, Ball Corp. aluminum cups Tar Heels, Ball Corp. introduce recyclable aluminum cups

Carolina will become the first university in the ACC to feature the recyclable cup. The aluminum cups contain an average of more than 70% recycled content thanks to their high recycling rate.

The 2019 NACUFS Sustainability Award A Win for the Environment

Carolina Dining Services – run by Aramark, the University’s dining contractor – received the 2019 Silver Award in Sustainability for Education and Outreach from the National Association of College and University Food Services for #EatSortWinUNC, a social media-based educational campaign that was introduced in Lenoir Hall in fall 2018.
