Carolina Sustainability Council

The Carolina Sustainability Council was established to advise the chancellor and his cabinet on sustainability strategy within the framework of Carolina Next: Innovations for Public Good. The Council includes students, faculty and staff, and its members bring a broad range of expertise, experience, and perspectives from across the University. Council meetings are recorded and streamed through the UNC Institute for the Environment Youtube channel, and will be listed as upcoming events on the homepage of sustainable.unc.edu as they are scheduled.

The council will meet its mission by delegating tasks to four primary committees:

  • Progress: to establish goals and monitor progress;
  • Synergy: to integrate with other programs at the University;
  • Innovation: to foster discovery of new connections and opportunities; and
  • Communication: to tell the University‚Äôs sustainability story.
